SMK Kampong Laut provides Secondary Education and Post-Secondary Pre-University Education through Form 6 / STPM.
SMK Kampong Laut is located in Mukim Kampong Laut, Palekbang, Tumpat, Kelantan. The school was founded in 1965 as Sekolah Menengah Rendah Kampong Laut and was renamed Sekolah Menengah Kampong Laut the following year.
In addition to secondary education, SMeKaL provides Post-Secondary Pre-University Education through Form 6 / STPM. This pathway enables students to continue their studies after SPM before progressing to higher education or a bachelor’s degree.

This classification accurately describes SMeKaL’s educational scope: Secondary Education for Forms 1 to 5, and Post-Secondary Pre-University Education through Form 6 / STPM.

Curriculum delivery, assessment, academic intervention and achievement analysis are planned systematically with a focus on student needs.

Offerings include STEM 1, STEM 2, Accounting, IK 1 to IK 4 and PVMA. Elective subjects are organised according to the school’s current packages and availability.
